This website is ASWebdesign's entry to the 2008, UK Webmaster World SEO Contest. The aim of the contest is to use a range of SEO skills to rank as high as possible on Google.com for the target key-phrase 'seocontest2008'
The SEO contest starts on February the 1st 2008 and will end on April 1st 2008.
The website will be updated soon, but for the moment the priority was to get the site up as quickly as possible to help rank for the key-phrase seocontest2008.

SEOContest2008 Progress
It's been slow progress so far, unfortunately due to work commitments I have been unable to spend as much time as I would like on seocontest2008. My site has slipped down Google.com listings and is now in position 24 for the key-phrases 'seocontest2008'. This puts me in position 20 for the competition.
Website indexed!
It has taken a little longer than I hoped, but my website has now been indexed by Google.com.
The site is ranking at position 21 for the key-phrase seocontest2008.
SEO Contest Begins
The SEO contest starts today! The target key-phrase for the competition was announced at midnight, so last night I stayed up late last night to give myself the best possible chance of buying a domain name with the target key-phrase in it.
It was announced that the target key-phrase is seocontest2008, so straight away I tried to register the .com website. Unfortunately I was too late but did manage to get my second choice domain seocontest2008.co.uk!
As soon as my domain was registered I put up some temporary content based around the phrase seocontest2008 to try and get the site indexed in Google as quickly as possible.
